How to Convert PDF to Image

Convert PDF to Image on fbutube gives you three format choices (JPG, PNG, WebP) plus DPI and quality — all in under two minutes. No software, no account.

  1. Upload your PDF. Click the select box or drag & drop a .pdf file directly onto the upload area. Only PDF files are accepted.
  2. Choose output format and image settings. Pick JPG for small files, PNG for lossless crispness, or WebP for modern web-optimized output. Set DPI from 72 to 300 (default 150; recommended 150–200) and quality from 1 to 100 (default 85).
  3. Click Convert PDF to Images. Each page is rendered on our servers and encoded in your selected format.

Which output formats are supported in PDF to Image?+
This tool supports three output formats: JPG (small files, great for photos), PNG (lossless, crisp text and graphics), and WebP (modern, smaller than both for web use). Pick one using the Format selector before clicking Convert. All formats support multi-page output as a ZIP download.
What DPI should I choose for the best results?+
The default is 150 DPI, which is a great all-around choice for both quality and file size. 150–200 DPI is recommended for most documents. Use 250–300 DPI if you have very small text, scanned pages, or need the output to remain sharp at high zoom. 72 DPI is only for low-res screen previews.
What does the Quality setting actually change for each format?+
For JPG, Quality (1–100) controls lossy JPEG compression — higher values give bigger files and fewer artifacts. For PNG, Quality controls the deflate/compression effort level (higher values spend more CPU but do not lose data). For WebP, Quality works similarly to JPG but with WebP's modern algorithm. The default of 85 is tuned as a safe balance across all three formats.
Are multi-page PDFs handled correctly for every format?+
Yes. Every page of your PDF is converted to a separate image file (one per page) regardless of whether you choose JPG, PNG, or WebP. All pages are collected into a single ZIP so you download exactly once. The page count is reported on the success card.
What is WebP, and when should I choose it over JPG or PNG?+
WebP is a modern image format developed by Google. Compared to JPG of the same quality, WebP files are typically 25–35% smaller. Compared to PNG, WebP lossless is around 25% smaller. Choose WebP when targeting modern websites or apps where file-size savings matter. Use JPG/PNG when you need universal compatibility with older software.
Can I convert password-protected PDFs?+
Only unencrypted PDFs are supported. If your PDF requires a password to open, or has owner restrictions that block image extraction/rendering, please remove the protection in your PDF editor first, save an unencrypted copy, and re-upload it here.
Is there a maximum file size or page limit?+
The upload size limit is shown by the browser/UI. Within that, there is no hard-coded page limit. Very long documents (hundreds of pages) simply take longer to process and will still deliver a single ZIP containing every page. Consider splitting or using a faster connection for huge files.
Does the converter support drag-and-drop?+
Yes. Drag any .pdf file straight onto the upload box. The border highlights when a valid PDF is detected. Format, DPI, and Quality controls stay interactive before and after upload, so you can tune settings before clicking Convert.
What is PDF/A, and is it compatible?+
PDF/A is the ISO-standardized archival version of PDF (often used for scanned records and legal documents). PDF/A files render identically to regular PDFs in our engine, so they convert to JPG/PNG/WebP with no issues and full page-level fidelity.
